There is hereby created a Department of Planning and Zoning in the Township
of Waterford for the administration of the township's Land Use, Development
and Zoning Ordinance. The document creating this Department and defining the
duties of the officials therein and the jurisdiction of said Department is
attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein.[1]

The Planning and Zoning Official shall be appointed by the Mayor and
Township Committee. Said appointment may be accomplished at the organization
meeting of the Township Committee or any subsequent meeting as appropriate.
The term of the appointment shall be for one year during the first three years
of the appointment/employment. Following completion of three one-year terms,
the term of the appointment may be for a period of three years, at the discretion
of the Mayor and Township Committee.
