[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee of the Township of Waterford 12-11-1974 as Ch. 93 of the 1974 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES

No person shall keep or maintain for gain or profit within the Township of Waterford any pool or billiard parlor without first obtaining a license therefor.
No license shall be granted except upon application in writing therefor to the Clerk of the township, setting forth the place and premises where the pool or billiard tables are to be set up and the number of the same, with an affidavit that the facts set forth therein are true.
The Clerk shall issue said license only after approval by the Township Committee.

The license fee shall be as set by the Township Fee Schedule Ordinance[1] for each table.[2]

B. 
The license shall contain the location of the premises and the number of tables therein licensed and the date of expiration of said license.
The licensee of any such pool or billiard parlor shall at all times exhibit his license certificate in a conspicuous place in the room where said business is carried on, and failure thereof shall be presumptive evidence of having no license.
The Clerk shall keep a proper record of all licenses issued and all moneys received therefrom.
Every licensee shall comply at all times with the rules and regulations of the Department of Public Safety.
Any person who is guilty of violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be sentenced to imprisonment in the county jail for any term not exceeding 90 days or shall be fined a sum not to exceed $1,000 or a period of community service not exceeding 90 days, or any combination thereof, within the discretion of the court before whom any such person is convicted.
