It is hereby declared to be the intent and policy of the Incorporated Village of Atlantic Beach, County of Nassau, State of New York, to protect the health, safety and welfare of its residents, guests and inhabitants.
A. 
No motor vehicle, motor bikes, minibikes, bus, motor van, motor cycle, bicycle or any vehicles of any type shall be permitted to ride, drive or park at any time on the beaches, bay areas, playgrounds, except emergency vehicles, police vehicles or vehicles expressly permitted with the permission of the Village Board of Trustees.
B. 
No motor-driven vehicle (electric or gas) is permitted on the boardwalk at any time.

Every person who shall violate this article shall be punished by and subject to a fine of not more than $500, or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment.

A. 
Parking at the following beach ends will require an annual permit: The Plaza, Dutchess, Genesee, Jefferson and Montgomery. Permits will be given out when individuals come in for their beach pass: one permit per residence and two permits per beach club; fees therefor shall be covered in taxes. Additional permits for residents and nonresidents may be purchased.
B. 
Parking stickers are required between May 1 and October 31 at locations to be specified by resolution of the Village Board as may be changed from time to time. The Village Clerk shall post and maintain records of these resolutions which shall be available for public inspection.
