For the purpose of clarity in this chapter, the following terms shall be defined as follows:
A street which serves or is designed as an access to abutting business properties.
A right-of-way authorized by a property owner for the use or specified purpose designated.
A complete and exact subdivision plan prepared for official recording as required by statute.
A street which is used primarily as a route for traffic connecting small traffic count streets together.
The surveyed map adopted by the Village Mayor and Board of Trustees on January 14, 1963, on file at the Village Hall.
The Village of Colonie Planning Commission.
The scale drawings indicating the proposed manner or layout of a subdivision, to be submitted to the Planning Commission for its consideration.
The owner or authorized agent of the owner of a subdivision.
The division of any parcel of land into two or more lots, plots, sites or other divisions of land, for the purpose, whether immediate or future, of transfer of ownership or building development, and shall include resubdivision or any alteration of lot lines or dimensions of any lots or sites shown on a plat previously approved and filed in the office of the Albany County Clerk.
A subdivision containing five or more parcels along any existing or proposed street, highway, easement or right-of-way or any subdivision requiring the creation of a new street.
A subdivision containing four or fewer lots along an existing street, highway, easement or right-of-way and not requiring the installation of a new street.
The Official Zoning Ordinance of the Village of Colonie, as it may be adopted, together with any and all amendments thereto.[1]
