[Adopted 11-1-1955 by L.L. No. 3-1955]
The Board of Trustees of the Incorporated Village
of Hempstead may appoint and define the powers and duties and fix
the salary of a Superintendent of Public Works, who shall exercise
the powers granted and the duties imposed by such Board notwithstanding
any provision of the Village Law to the contrary.
There is hereby created the position of Deputy
Superintendent of Public Works, which position is in the noncompetitive
class. The powers and duties of such Deputy Superintendent of Public
Works shall be defined by the Board of Trustees of the Incorporated
Village of Hempstead.
