A Parks and Recreation Advisory Board is hereby established.

The Board established by § 5-26 shall consist of nine electors of the Town, who shall serve without compensation. Appointments shall be for terms of three years.
The Superintendent of Schools shall serve without vote as a member of the Board established by § 5-26.

It shall be the duty of the Board established by § 5-26 to recommend to the Director of Leisure Services rules, regulations and fees governing the use of the parks, athletic fields, playgrounds, buildings, facilities and all other properties that come under the jurisdiction of the Parks and Recreation Department which are used for recreational purposes. It shall also be the responsibility of said Board to evaluate periodically park facilities and recreation programs and report to the Director, the Town Manager and the Town Council.
The members of the Board established by § 5-26 shall serve without compensation.
