[HISTORY: Adopted by the Town Council of the Town of West Hartford 9-12-1972
(Sec. 2-17 of the 1972 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The Town Council shall appoint nine electors as constables, not more
than six of whom shall be members of the same political party. Three constables
shall be appointed to serve until December 31, 1969; two constables to serve
until December 31, 1970; two constables to serve until December 31, 1971;
and two constables to serve until December 31, 1972. Each successor shall
be appointed for a term of four years commencing on the first day of January.
