GENERAL REFERENCES
Fire prevention — See Ch. 119.

The existing Fire District in the Township of Harrison shall be extended and shall hereafter include all of the territory of the Township of Harrison and the boundaries of the Fire District shall hereafter be coextensive with the boundaries of the Township.

The name of the Fire District shall be changed from the "Harrison Township Fire District" to and shall hereafter be "Harrison Township Fire District #1".

The said Harrison Township Fire District #1 shall be administered by a board of five Fire Commissioners who shall be known as the "Board of Fire Commissioners of Harrison Township Fire District #1".
The members of the Board of Fire Commissioners shall be elected and hold office and administer the Fire District and provide for money to be raised for the financing of the Fire District in accordance with the statutes of the State of New Jersey in such case made and provided.

A. 
Line officers. The operational officers of the Harrison Township Fire District #1, including the volunteer fire companies with which it has contracted to provide fire services, shall consist of a Chief, Deputy Chief, Assistant Chief, Battalion Chief, Captain, Lieutenants, and Firefighters, all of whom shall be subject to approval by the Board of Fire Commissioners for compliance with all job descriptions and qualifications, including, but not limited to, the requirements set forth in the Standards for Fire Safety Training and Certification, N.J.A.C. 5:73-1.1. et seq.
B. 
Discipline of officers, members and volunteers. For good cause, the Board of Fire Commissioners may reprimand, suspend, or remove from office any member or officers of the Fire District and/or volunteer fire company serving the Fire District.
