The Fire Department shall be headed by a director
who shall be the Fire Chief and who shall be qualified by training
and experience.
The Fire Department shall perform all appropriate
functions associated with:
A.
Rapid and safe extinguishment of all fires occurring
within the Township.
B.
Fire prevention.
C.
Maintenance of equipment utilized by the Fire Department
and all hydrants.
D.
Fire safety. To inspect premises as required by other
Township ordinances and for enforcement of all Township ordinances
relating to fire safety, pursuant to such ordinances.
E.
Such other functions as are assigned by other ordinances
of the Township.

The Fire Department shall be organized pursuant to plan approved as provided in § 4-9 of this Code.
