[HISTORY: Adopted by the Township Committee (now Township Council) of the Township of Hillside 12-21-1971 as Ch. II, Sec. 2-15, of the 1971 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]

The Township Physician shall be appointed by the Township Council for a term of one year ending on December 31 next following his appointment. He shall be a licensed physician of the State of New Jersey.
The Township Physician shall:
A. 
Examine persons charged with drunken driving and otherwise assist in investigations by the Police Department upon request by the Police Chief.
B. 
Perform examinations, when necessary, of township employees or applicants for appointment as township employees.
C. 
Perform such other duties and keep such records as prescribed by resolution of the Township Council.

The Township Physician shall receive such fees for services as are hereafter determined by resolution of the Township Council.
