As used in this article, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
Any establishment wherein or whereon the business of boarding or selling dogs or breeding dogs for sale is carried on, except a pet shop.
Any person engaged in the ordinary course of business in the sale of cats or dogs to the public for profit or any person who sells or offers for sale more than five cats or dogs in one year.

Any place of business which is not part of a kennel, wherein animals, including, but not limited to, dogs, cats, birds, fish, reptiles, rabbits, hamsters or gerbils, are kept or displayed chiefly for the purpose of sale to individuals for personal appreciation and companionship rather than for business or research purposes.

An establishment for the confinement of dogs seized either under the provisions of Article I of this chapter or otherwise.
Any commercial dog-breeding facility that does not possess a USDA Class A License and who owns or possesses more than 5 female dogs capable of reproduction in any 12 month period.

Any establishment where dogs are received, housed and distributed.

The license number issued to a breeder or broker by the United States Department of Agriculture pursuant to the federal "Animal Welfare Act," 7 U.S.C. s.2131 et seq., or any rules or regulations adopted pursuant thereto.
