[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Endicott 10-23-1989 by L.L. No. 5-1989 as Ch. 80 of the 1989 Code. Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES
Streets and sidewalks — See Ch. 214.
No person shall move any house or other structure through or over the streets or avenues of the Village unless the Board of Trustees shall grant a written permit for such moving.
No permit to move a house or other structure shall be granted except upon the written petition of the owner of the structure to be moved, stating the route intended to be used, the place from which and to which the building is to be moved and the size of the structure.
The Board of Trustees may, in its discretion, grant a permit to move a house or other structure and may attach thereto such conditions and restrictions as said Board may deem necessary and proper.
A permit to move a house or other structure shall be properly displayed and submitted to any police officer upon request to the mover, contractor or the owner of such house or structure.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be guilty of a violation and, upon conviction thereof, shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding $250 for each offense or imprisonment not exceeding 15 days, or both such fine and imprisonment.
