The provisions of this article shall apply except when it is necessary to stop a vehicle to avoid conflict with other traffic or in compliance with the directions of a police officer or official traffic control device.

A. 
No person shall cause or permit the engine of a motor vehicle, other than a legally authorized emergency motor vehicle or any government vehicle engaged in official government business, to idle for longer than three minutes on Village-owned property or a street, road or highway within the Village while parking, as defined in § 129 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, while standing, as defined in § 145 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, or while stopping, as defined in § 147 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, unless the engine is used to operate a loading, unloading or processing device.
B. 
When the ambient temperature is in excess of 40° F., no person shall cause or permit the engine of a bus, as defined in § 104 of the Vehicle and Traffic Law, to idle while parking, standing or stopping on Village-owned property or a street, road or highway within the Village.
No person shall park a vehicle at any time upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XIII (§ 326-80), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
Any vehicle parked in those areas described in Schedule XIV (§ 326-81), attached to and made a part of this chapter, which have been duly designated and conspicuously posted as tow-away zones shall be subject to being removed from the public highway. In addition, any vehicle parked in a posted loading zone or in a hydrant area shall also be subject to removal.
No person shall park or stand a vehicle in any of the on-street handicapped parking spaces described in Schedule XV (§ 326-82), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except those vehicles displaying a parking permit for handicapped persons, pursuant to § 1203-a of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. In the event any such handicapped parking spaces are located within a designated permit parking area or metered parking zone, the handicapped parking permit holder shall also be required to obtain a decal for parking in said parking permit area or to deposit the requisite coins in said meter in connection with his or her use of any such space.
No person shall park or stand a vehicle in any of the off-street handicapped parking spaces described in Schedule XVI (§ 326-83), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except those vehicles displaying a parking permit for handicapped persons, pursuant to § 1203-a of the Vehicle and Traffic Law. In the event any such handicapped parking spaces are located within a designated permit parking area or metered parking zone, the handicapped parking permit holder shall also be required to obtain a decal for parking in said parking permit area or to deposit the requisite coins in said meter in connection with his or her use of any such space.
No commercial vehicle shall be parked on any street or highway in any residential district in the Village of Mamaroneck as shown on the Zoning Map of the Village of Mamaroneck annexed hereto and made a part of this chapter. (The Zoning Map is on file in the office of the Village Clerk.)
No person shall park a commercial vehicle between the hours of 3:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. in any of the locations described in Schedule XVII (§ 326-84), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
A. 
No commercial vehicles used or employed for the collection of garbage shall be parked on any street or highway in the Village of Mamaroneck.
B. 
No commercial vehicle having a total gross weight in excess of 8,500 pounds or a length from front bumper to rear bumper in excess of 25 feet shall be parked anywhere in the Village of Mamaroneck, except in a legally permitted and privately owned parking area, for a period in excess of two hours.
The parking of commercial vehicles is hereby prohibited in any of the locations described in Schedule XVIII (§ 326-85), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stop a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XIX (§ 326-86), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XX (§ 326-87), attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XXI (§ 326-88) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.

A. 
No person shall park a vehicle between the hours specified in Schedule XXIA (§ 326-88.1) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
B. 
The effective dates when street parking regulations must be adhered to for street sweeping start on April 1 and end after October 31 of each year, unless otherwise posted by the Village of Mamaroneck.
No person shall stop a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XXII (§ 326-89) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall stand a vehicle during the times specified in Schedule XXIII (§ 326-90) of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle for longer than the time limit shown in Schedule XXIV (§ 326-91) at any time between the hours listed in said schedule of any day, unless otherwise indicated, upon any of the streets or parts of streets described in said schedule, attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall park a vehicle upon any of the streets or parts thereof described in Schedule XXV (§ 326-92), attached to and made a part of this chapter, except at the angle designated and only within the painted stall lines. On all streets or portions thereof where angle parking is now or shall hereafter be authorized, all vehicles parked thereon shall be parked with the front thereof nearest the curb.

A. 
No person shall stop, stand, or park a vehicle other than an electric vehicle within any space marked or signed as reserved for "electric vehicle parking while charging only."
B. 
It is unlawful to park or permit to be parked any electric vehicle in a space with an electric vehicle charging station that is marked as "electric vehicle parking while charging only" if such electric vehicle is not in the process of charging.
C. 
Electric vehicles may be parked in any space designated for public parking, subject to the restrictions that would apply to any other vehicle that would park in that space.
D. 
The locations described in Schedule XXVIA (§ 326-93.1), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as off-street electric vehicle parking spaces at which only the parking of electric vehicles actively engaged in charging shall be permitted.
E. 
The locations described in Schedule XXVIB (§ 326-93.2), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as on-street electric vehicle parking spaces at which only the parking of electric vehicles actively engaged in charging shall be permitted.
The locations described in Schedule XXVI (§ 326-93), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as loading zones, and the parking or standing of vehicles, except for the express purpose of and while actually engaged in loading or unloading merchandise, is prohibited in the locations described in said schedule.
The locations described in Schedule XXVII (§ 326-94), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as taxi stands.
The locations described in Schedule XXVIII (§ 326-95), attached to and made a part of this chapter, are hereby designated as bus stops.
