It shall be the duty of the owner of every plot of land on which is
erected any building other than a barn, stable, private garage or other outbuilding
within the Village, to cause to be conspicuously affixed on the front part
of each and every such building owned by him within said Village the proper
number thereof as appears by the house number map on file in the office of
the Clerk of the Village aforesaid, which number shall be plainly legible
at a distance of 50 feet from the front of said building.
It shall be the duty of the Clerk of the Village, upon application,
to furnish to any person the proper number of any building upon being furnished
with a location of the said building.
Any person violating any of the provisions of this article or any part
thereof shall be liable for and forfeit and pay a penalty of not more $10
for each offense, for the use of said Village. Any violation of this article
or any part thereof shall constitute disorderly conduct, and any person violating
this article or any part thereof is hereby declared a disorderly person.
