A. 
The Planning Board of the Village of Thomaston in existence as of the effective date of this section is abolished. From and after the effective date of this section, the Board of Trustees of the Village of Thomaston shall be, and have all the powers of, the Planning Board. Wherever in this Code reference is made to the Planning Board, such reference shall be deemed to be a reference to the Board of Trustees.
B. 
The Planning Board may establish a Planning Advisory Committee, to consist of such members as the Planning Board may determine. The Planning Advisory Committee shall provide the Planning Board with advice and recommendations on such matters as shall be referred to the Committee by the Planning Board.

The Planning Board may refer any matter to the Village Counsel for ruling on the legal aspects thereof.
The Planning Board may utilize the services of informed persons on a voluntary basis for such technical assistance and advice as it may require.
