Fire prevention — See Ch. 91.
No person shall build or cause to be built or ignite or cause to be ignited any fire upon the streets, highways or public places within the village. Except for open fires used for preparing food, campfires or other fires for recreation purposes and unless such fires are attended by an adult so as to properly control the same and to cause the same to be extinguished before leaving the same unattended and unless the material consumed in such fires shall be burned in such a manner and under such circumstances as not to cause any unreasonable annoyance to others through the spreading of smoke and ashes or to endanger property through the spreading of flaming materials or sparks, no person shall build or cause to be built or ignite or cause to be ignited any fire upon any other open place within the village.
Any person, firm or corporation committing an offense against any provision of this chapter shall be punishable as provided in the general penalty provisions contained in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, of this Code.
