This article shall be known and may be cited as the "Tax Collector's Compensation Ordinance."

A. 
The Tax Collector shall be compensated by the Township at the rate of $1.80 for each real estate tax bill.
B. 
The Tax Collector shall be compensated by the Township at the rate of $0.75 for each per capita tax bill.
C. 
The compensation set out in Subsections A and B shall be paid only for each tax bill that is paid by or on behalf of the taxpayer and shall be due at the time of payment of the tax.
In addition to the commission set forth in § 55-2 above, the Tax Collector shall be allowed actual and needful expenditures for printing, postage, books, blanks and forms.
Prior to payment of the aforesaid commission, the Tax Collector shall submit to the Township an affidavit of office in accordance with 72 P.S. § 5511.8, which, by reference hereto, is incorporated herein and made a part hereof.

A. 
A duplicate tax bill fee in the amount of $1 is hereby imposed upon and for the making of a copy of a tax bill. Any person who requests a copy of a tax bill shall pay said duplicate tax bill fee to the Tax Collector at the time of making such request, and the Tax Collector is hereby authorized to retain the same. No such copy need be made until such fee is paid.
B. 
In recognition of the importance and significance of real estate tax certifications to the smooth and effective flow of commerce within the local real estate market, North Codorus Township does hereby approve of the providing of real estate tax certifications by its elected Tax Collector. North Codorus Township does further hereby impose a tax certification fee in the amount of $10 which shall be paid to and may be retained by the elected Tax Collector for providing such additional service.
C. 
A returned check charge in the amount of $20 is hereby imposed upon any person or entity who issues a check for the payment of any Township tax, any charge or fee imposed by the Township, or any fee provided for by this section where such check is not honored by the drawee or otherwise returned unpaid or uncollected for any reason. The person or entity who or which issued such dishonored or returned check shall pay said charge to the Collector or entity to whom such check was tendered.
D. 
The amount of any fee or charge imposed by this section may be amended from time to time by resolution.

Beginning January 2004 and thereafter, each Supervisor of North Codorus Township elected or appointed to office shall receive compensation in the amount of $2,500 per year payable in 12 equal monthly installments, each one in the amount of $208.33, with the 12th installment in the amount of $208.37.

No Supervisor shall receive annual compensation under this article in excess of the annual statutory limit set by the General Assembly in 53 P.S. § 65606 of the Second Class Township Code for supervisors of townships within the appropriate population category.[1]
