[Adopted 8-13-1991 by Ch. No. 983 as § 5-17 of the 1991 Code]
The Town Council mandates that the Building Inspector or the Fire Chiefs of the Town shall inspect installation of all wood and coal stoves.
The installation of all wood and coal stoves shall comply with the State Building Code and any future amendments thereto.
All purchasers of wood or coal stoves, which stoves are to be installed in the Town, shall notify the Building Inspector or the Fire Chiefs of the Town to inspect the installation before the first lighting of the stove, and shall pay an inspection fee of $5 to the Town.
All sellers of wood or coal stoves, who sell to residents of the Town, shall notify the purchaser of the need for a building permit and inspection by the Building Official or Fire Chiefs of the respective fire districts before the first lighting of the stove.
All records of inspection (dates, places, etc.) shall be kept in the Building Official's office.
There shall be a fine of $25 assessed for failure to comply with any subsection of this section.
