A. 
The several streets and highways in this Town shall continue to be called and known by the names heretofore given to them unless and until they are altered by the Town Council.
B. 
All proposed streets shall be named and lots numbered and shall bear names which are appropriate to the character of the Town and which do not duplicate or too closely approximate, in spelling or sound, existing street names in the Town.
The Town Council may order the buildings on any street or highway to be numbered or may order any street or highway to be numbered, and the Town Council shall then require the number designated for each building to be affixed thereto or inscribed thereon. Any owner or occupant of a building who, for more than 15 days after notice, neglects or refuses to affix to or inscribe on such building, the number lawfully designated therefor, or who affixes or causes to be affixed to such building, or inscribes or causes to be inscribed thereon, or retains thereon for more than 15 days after notice, a number other than the one so designated, shall, upon conviction, be punished as provided in Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty.
