Pursuant to the authority of § 15.2-922.1 of the Code of Virginia,
the Northumberland County Board of Supervisors hereby adopts the following
chapter regulating the making of fires.
The Board of Supervisors is authorized to regulate the making of fires
in streets, alleys, and public places and, when a declared emergency or local
emergency exists, the Board of Supervisors shall also be authorized to regulate
the making of fires on private property.
A violation of this chapter shall be punishable as a Class 4 misdemeanor
and a maximum fine of $250.
