The purpose of this chapter is to promote the
public health and safety by protecting the citizens of the Village
of Superior from toxic mercury pollution. This purpose is served by
eliminating mercury-containing devices such as small thermometers
which may otherwise enter the solid waste stream.
No person shall sell at retail or offer for
sale at retail within the incorporated area of the Village of Superior
any fever thermometer or basal thermometer containing mercury.
