The imposition of a penalty as provided in § 80-1301, above, and Chapter 2, General Provisions, Article II, Penalties, of this Code for a violation of this chapter shall not preclude the Village from instituting any appropriate action or proceeding to prevent any unlawful demolition, or to restrain, correct or abate a violation, or to prevent an illegal act.
In addition to the penalties set forth in this Code,
the Village may institute appropriate proceedings in the Supreme Court
of the State of New York, to prevent, restrain, correct or abate a
violation of this chapter.
Any person who demolishes any building or structure
without a demolition permit in violation of this chapter shall be
required to restore the property and its site to its appearance prior
to the demolition. Any action to enforce this subsection shall be
brought by the Village. This civil remedy shall be in addition to
and not in lieu of any criminal prosecution and penalty.
