It is the purpose of this article to modify
the requirements of § 23 of the Town Law and § 3
of the Public Officers Law or any other statute, law, rule or regulation
to the extent sections require that a Zoning Enforcement Officer/Building
Inspector be an elector and a resident within the Town of New Lebanon
so as to provide that a person holding the position of Town of New
Lebanon Zoning Enforcement Officer/Building Inspector need not be
an elector nor a resident of the Town of New Lebanon.
The Zoning Enforcement Officer/Building Inspector
shall be required to reside within the county in which the Town of
New Lebanon is located or an adjoining county within the state.
