In accordance with Section 607 of the Town Charter,
the Wethersfield Town Council hereby establishes the volunteer office
of Fire Chief Emeritus. This office shall be filled by the most recently
retired Fire Chief. The duties and responsibilities of Fire Chief
Emeritus shall be determined by the Town Manager, who shall consult
with both the Fire Chief Emeritus and the Fire Chief before prescribing
the duties and responsibilities of this office.
