Pursuant to the provisions of Act 245 of 1999, and in particular Section 8b(6), MCLA § 125.1508b, the Charter Township of Blackman hereby elects to assume responsibility for the administration and enforcement of Public Act 245 of 1999, as amended, and enforce the State Electrical Code within the Township limits.

The Charter Township of Blackman designates the Township Electrical Inspector of the Charter Township of Blackman as the enforcing agency to discharge the responsibilities of the Township under this article.
An Electrical Board of Appeals for the Charter Township of Blackman hereby is created and shall consist of three members. Each member of the Board of Appeals shall be appointed for a two-year term. Appeals shall be heard within 30 days.
Any person, firm, copartnership, company or corporation who shall violate any provision of this article shall, on conviction thereof, be deemed guilty of a misdemeanor and shall be punished by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 90 days or by fine of not more than $500, or by both fine and imprisonment.
