There is created in Egg Harbor City the position of Tax Assessor, which shall be a part-time position.

The Tax Assessor shall be appointed for a term of four years commencing on the first day of July following the date of appointment. Appointment of the Tax Assessor shall be made by resolution passed by a majority of the members of Common Council.
No person shall be appointed to the position of Tax Assessor for Egg Harbor City unless that person holds a valid Tax Assessor's Certificate.
