[Adopted 11-14-1974 as Ch. 5, Art. I, of the 1974 Code]
The purchase or attempted purchase of alcoholic beverages by any person under the age of 21 years of age, whether the same is to be consumed on the premises or not, is hereby prohibited, and any person violating this section shall be deemed a disorderly person.[1]

Any person under the age of 21 years of age who shall purchase or attempt to purchase any alcoholic beverages in the City of Egg Harbor by the use of false documents or representations shall be deemed a disorderly person.
Any person under the age of 21 years of age who shall have in his or her possession any altered or false document or documents for the purpose of identification and/or establishing the age of said person shall be deemed a disorderly person.
Any person who misrepresents his or her age to any police officer or special officer of the City of Egg Harbor in connection with the purchase and/or consumption of any alcoholic beverages shall be deemed a disorderly person.
Any person who shall permit the use of his or her documents by any person under the age of 21 years of age for the purpose of securing the purchase of alcoholic beverages in the City of Egg Harbor shall be deemed to be a disorderly person.
Each and every person violating any of the provisions of this article shall be subject, upon conviction thereof, to a fine not exceeding $500 or imprisonment in the county jail for a term not exceeding 90 days, or both, in the discretion of the Judge before whom said conviction shall be had.
