The City of Egg Harbor City, pursuant to N.J.S.A. 54:5-52.1, is permitted to issue, in case of the destruction or loss of a Tax Title Certificate, which was issued by the municipality in a tax sale held in the municipality, a new Certificate of Tax Sale in place of the one which had been destroyed or lost.
Prior to the issuance of the new Certificate of Tax Sale, the Collector of Taxes, the Receiver of Taxes or the person lawfully charged with the collection of taxes in the City of Egg Harbor City shall be duly authorized to do so by a resolution of the governing body of the City of Egg Harbor City.
Said Collector of Taxes, the Receiver of Taxes or the person lawfully charged with the collection of taxes in the City of Egg Harbor City shall cause to appear on the new Certificate a statement that it is a duplicate of the original one which was destroyed or lost and shall include the date of said original certificate and the date of the tax sale upon which it was issued and the name and title of the officer who issued the same.
