Trucks over four tons registered gross weight are hereby excluded from the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule I (§ 168-56), except for the pickup and delivery of materials on such streets, Schedule I being attached to and made a part of this chapter.

A low-speed vehicle, being defined as "a four-wheeled vehicle with an attainable speed of more than 20 miles per hour but no more than 25 miles per hour on a paved surface, not powered by gasoline or diesel fuel, complying with federal safety standards as noted in 49 CFR 571.500 and titled, registered and insured in the State of New Jersey," may operate on Alexander Road in both directions between the West Windsor Township-Princeton Township corporate line and Canal Pointe Boulevard and on Canal Pointe Boulevard in both directions for its entire length.

A.
Definition. "Engine Braking" shall mean the use or operation of any mechanical device designed to aid in the braking, decompression, or deceleration of any motor vehicle which results in excessive, loud, unusual, or explosive noise from such vehicle.
B.
Prohibited. It shall be unlawful for the driver of any motor vehicle to use or operate or cause to be operated, at any time on any road in West Windsor Township, any mechanical exhaust or decompression device which results in the practice known as "engine-braking."
C.
Exceptions. The provisions of this section shall not apply to noise created by applying engine compression brakes, otherwise known as "engine braking," which is effectively muffled, or if the application is necessary for the health, safety, and welfare of the community. Sounds created by emergency equipment for emergency purposes are also exempt. The provisions of this subsection shall not apply to the application of unmuffled compression brakes where necessary for the protection of persons and/or property that cannot be avoided by application of an alternative braking system.
D.
Posting of signs. The Township is hereby authorized to post signs at reasonable locations within the Township indicating the prohibition of "engine braking" within the Township limits.
E.
Violations and penalties. Unless another penalty is expressly provided by New Jersey statute, a person convicted of a violation of this section shall be subject to a fine of $250.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule II (§ 168-57) attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as one-way streets in the direction indicated.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140, the streets or parts of streets described in Schedule III (§ 168-58) attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as through streets. Stop signs shall be installed on the near right side of each street intersecting the through street except where yield signs are provided for in the designations.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140, the intersections described in Schedule IV (§ 168-59) attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as stop intersections. Stop signs shall be installed as provided therein.
Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 39:4-140, the intersections described in Schedule V (§ 168-60) attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as yield intersections. Yield signs shall be installed as provided therein.
No person shall make a left turn at any of the locations described in Schedule VI (§ 168-61) attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a U-turn at any of the locations described in Schedule VII (§ 168-62) attached and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a turn at any of the locations described in Schedule VIII (§ 168-63) attached to and made a part of this chapter.
No person shall make a right turn when facing a steady red signal (stop) indication whenever an official sign is present prohibiting such turn on the red signal as described in Schedule IX (§ 168-64).
No person shall make a right turn at any of the locations described in Schedule X (§ 168-65) attached to and made a part of this chapter.
A.
The streets or parts of streets described in Schedule XI (§ 168-66) attached to and made a part of this chapter shall have the speed limits designated in such schedule.
B.
Regulatory and warning signs shall be erected and maintained to effect the above designated speed limits as authorized by the Department of Transportation.
The lane locations described in Schedule XII (§ 168-67) attached to and made a part of this chapter are designated as lane use reservations, and traffic shall move only as indicated.
The locations described in Schedule XIII (§ 168-68) attached to and made a part of this chapter are hereby designated as no-passing zones.
