GENERAL REFERENCES
Taxicabs — See Ch. 217.
A.
All persons five and over are required to pay a fare.
This includes regular and wheelchair passengers, and those helping or assisting
any wheelchair or otherwise disabled or handicapped passengers.
B.
Those under five years old may ride for free only when
accompanied by a parent who is a paying passenger.
C.
No child between five and 12 may ride the bus without
an accompanying adult. Both must pay the full fare.
D.
There is no senior citizen or student discount.
E.
Passengers must pay the full amount of the fare upon
boarding the bus unless previous arrangements have been made with the office
staff.
Fare prices shall be as follows:
A.
Zone One: This zone includes all of the City of Amsterdam.
This fare requires that both ends of the trip be inside the City. Fare: $1.50.
B.
Zone Two: This zone includes all destinations directly
on State Route 30 from the City line to Holland Circle Drive. This fare requires
that both ends of the trip be in Zone One or Zone Two. Fare: $1.50.
C.
Zone Three: This zone includes all destinations directly
on State Route 30 from Holland Circle Drive to the Fulton County line. This
fare requires that both ends of the trip be in either Zone One or Zone Two
or Zone Three. Fare: $2.50.
D.
Zone Four: This zone includes the rest of the Town of
Amsterdam, including the Villages of Hagaman and Fort Johnson. This fare requires
that one end of the trip be in either Zone One or Zone Two. Fare: $2.50.
E.
Zone Five: This zone includes all of the Town of Florida.
This fare requires that one end of the trip be in either Zone One or Zone
Two. Fare: $4.
F.
Zone Six: This includes all of the Town of Mohawk. This
fare requires that one end of the trip be in either Zone One or Zone Two.
Fare: $4.
Fares for special runs shall be as follows:
A.
State Office Building Campus: The fare for this run is
$32 per week, regardless of how many days a person rides. Individual day passes
may be purchased for $8 and are round-trip. No one-way passes are sold.
B.
Wolf Road: The fare for this run is $32 per week, regardless
of how many days a person rides. Individual day passes may be purchased for
$8 and are round-trip. No one-way passes are sold.
C.
Rotterdam Square Mall: The fare for this run is $3 each
way, and includes only transportation from the Amsterdam Riverfront Center
to the Rotterdam Square Mall (or back). Pick-up and/or drop-off at other than
the Amsterdam Riverfront Center is an additional fare (see fare prices).
D.
Montgomery County Office Building (Fonda): The fare for
this run is $2.50 each way from any of the three pick-up and drop-off sites
in Amsterdam and the one in Fonda. Pick-up or drop-off at any other address
is an additional fare. (NOTE: Pick-up and drop-off sites for the Fonda Run
are the Guy Park Avenue Stewarts, the Market Street Stewarts, and the bus
shelter on the west side of the Riverfront Center.)
E.
Mohawk Travel Plaza: The fare for this run is $4 each
way.
F.
Mt. Loretto Nursing Home: The fare for this run is $2.50
each way.
