Swimming or wading in the Mohawk River anywhere within the City of Amsterdam
is prohibited.
A violation of this ordinance shall be punishable by a fine not to exceed
$50 for the first offense and $250 for all subsequent offenses.
The Chief of Police is authorized to post signs proclaiming "Swimming
or Wading in the Mohawk River is strictly Prohibited."
This chapter shall take effect immediately upon passage.
