[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Morrisville 5-22-1958 as Art. V of the 1958 Code of Ordinances. Amendments noted where applicable.]
GENERAL REFERENCES
Vehicles and traffic — See Ch. 169.
No person shall operate a bicycle upon any sidewalk or highway within the village between the hours of sunset and sunrise unless the same is equipped with a warning bell or horn and a battery-operated light shining in front and a red tail reflector in the rear.
No person operating such bicycle shall at any time carry another person upon the handlebars or other portions of said bicycle.
Any person violating any provision of this chapter, including, in the case of a minor under the age of eighteen (18), the parent or guardian in charge of the minor, shall be punishable by a fine not exceeding two hundred fifty dollars ($250.) or by imprisonment not exceeding fifteen (15) days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
