[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Westbury 10-26-1932 (Ch. 18 of the 1964 Code). Amendments noted where applicable.]
The owner of every plot of land on which is erected any building other than a barn, a stable, private garage or other outbuilding within the village shall cause to be conspicuously affixed on the front part of each and every such building owned by him within said village the proper number thereof as appears by the house number map on file in the office of the Village Clerk, which number shall be plainly legible at a distance of 50 feet from the front of said building.
As used in this chapter, the following terms shall have the meanings indicated:
PERSON
Shall include persons, corporations or associations.
STREET
Shall include any road, highway, street or avenue within said village.
VILLAGE
Wherever used in the within chapter shall refer to the Incorporated Village of Westbury, County of Nassau, State of New York.
Any person violating this chapter or any part thereof shall be liable for and forfeit and pay a penalty not exceeding $250 for each offense, except as otherwise provided herein.

Any violation of this chapter or any part thereof shall constitute disorderly conduct, and any person violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall be and is hereby declared a disorderly person.
