The East Norriton Township Code Enforcement Officer, Building Inspector,
Fire Marshal, Zoning Officer, Plumbing Inspector and Parking Enforcement Officer,
as well as their deputies and assistants, are hereby granted such police powers
as may be necessary to file complaints, informations and citations before
the appropriate District Justice and to issue citations as provided in Rule
51 of the Pennsylvania Rules of Criminal Procedure.
The grant of the above power to the above-named East Norriton Township
officials shall not in any way be deemed to confer upon them any rights, duties
or obligations of police officers of East Norriton Township with the exception
of those powers necessary to properly administer their Township functions.
They shall not be considered policemen under the terms of the Police Tenure
Act[1] or any other statute, ordinance, rule or regulation dealing with
terms and conditions of employment, illness or retirement.
