Editor’s Note: This ordinance also changed the title
of this article from “Department of Economic Development and
Neighborhood Revitalization” to “Department of Community
Planning and Economic Development.”
The Department of Community Planning and Economic
Development, in addition to the office of the Director, shall consist
of the following subordinate functional areas and shall conduct all
of the appropriate areas or responsibility associated therewith:
The office of the Director of the Department
of Community Planning and Economic Development or its subordinate
functional areas shall, in addition to all other appropriate areas
of responsibility, interact, where applicable, with the various authorities,
boards and commissions of the City appropriate to the Department of
Community Planning and Economic Development.
All of the functions of the Department of Economic
and Community Development and the Department of Housing and Neighborhood
Development and their subordinate functional areas, including the
Bureau of Housing and Structural Inspections, the Bureau of Planning
and all areas of responsibility heretofore conducted by such departments,
shall hereafter be conducted by the Department of Community Planning
and Economic Development in separate bureaus as set forth above.
