It shall not be lawful for any person or persons, corporation or company
to store or keep or to cause to be stored or kept within the limits of the
borough any dynamite, dynamite caps, nitroglycerin, guncotton or other explosives
of equally dangerous character.
It shall not be lawful for any person or persons, corporation or company
to store or keep or to cause to be stored or kept within the limits of the
borough any plastic explosive or gunpowder or other like explosive of equally
dangerous character in quantities exceeding 25 pounds unless the same is carefully
preserved in a magazine constructed and used for the purpose and kept at a
distance of at least 50 feet from any dwelling house or workshop and at least
25 feet from any stable.
A.
It shall not be lawful for any person or persons, corporation
or company to keep or store or to cause to be stored or kept within the limits
of the borough any gasoline or other equally volatile and flammable fluid
unless the same is housed or kept at a distance of at least 50 feet from any
dwelling house or workshop and at least 25 feet from any stable, and provided
that the quantity of the same so kept shall not at any time exceed two barrels.
B.
This section shall not be construed to prohibit the storage
on residential property of fuel for power mowers, snowblowers or other normal
home equipment so long as it is in a suitable container, nor shall it be construed
to prohibit the underground storage of gasoline or other fuel products as
long as a permit has been obtained from the State Fire Marshal's office
for such storage.

Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this
chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be punishable by a fine of not more
than $300 and costs of prosecution or, upon default in payment of the fine
and costs, by imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 30 days.
