GENERAL REFERENCES
Initiative — See Sec. 6-200 et seq. of Charter.
Thirty (30) days prior to each city-wide general election at which initiatives and referenda are to be placed on the ballot, the Director of the Board of Canvassers shall cause to be printed and shall send one (1) copy of the full text of each local referendum reciting said initiatives and referenda to be voted upon and applicable to the city at large, or said Director may substitute a description of the text of each act in lieu of the full text sufficient to clearly apprise the voters of the question to be voted upon, to each household with registered voters of the City of Pawtucket together with the following information:
A. 
The designated number of the question.
B. 
A brief caption of the question.
C. 
A brief explanation of the measure being the subject matter of the question.

Such publication of questions to be submitted to voters shall be by bulk rate mail to each household with registered voters of the City of Pawtucket as listed in the files of the Office of the Board of Canvassers.

Notwithstanding the provisions of this chapter and any amendments thereto, should the State of Rhode Island send to the voters the same information as required by this chapter, the City of Pawtucket shall not be bound by this chapter.
