GENERAL REFERENCES
Business registration — See Ch. 158.
Each person or persons, corporation, partnership
or other business organization operating a vending machine service
for profit, prior to transacting or conducting business from any situs
within the City of Pawtucket, shall obtain a registration certificate
setting forth the name under which said person or persons, corporation,
partnership or other business organization is conducting or transacting
business and its business address. The registration certificate shall
be obtained, without charge, from the office of the City Clerk.
The City of Pawtucket, at its discretion, may
require on a quarterly basis that each person or persons, corporation,
partnership or other business organization operating a vending machine
service for profit provide the City with a list of each situs within
the municipality where a vending machine shall operate, and the number
of machines which are or will be operating on each situs.
Any list which is requested by the City pursuant to § 396-2 shall be confidential and, therefore, not subject to public disclosure. Any person who discloses the information contained in such a list shall be fined no less than the sum of $1,000 for said violation.
This chapter shall be deemed as retroactive
in its application such that it will apply to each person or persons,
corporation, partnership or other business organization already operating
a vending machine service for profit from any situs in the City.

Any person or persons, corporation, partnership
or other business organization carrying on, conducting or transacting
business as aforesaid and who shall willfully and knowingly fail to
comply with the provisions of this chapter shall be fined $500.
