[HISTORY: Adopted by the Village Board of
the Village of Elm Grove 12-10-1956; amended in
its entirety 12-11-2000. Subsequent
amendments noted where applicable.]
Pursuant to §§ 61.35 and 62.23,
Wis. Stats., there is hereby established an Official Map of the Village
of Elm Grove showing the streets, highways, historic districts, parkways,
parks and playgrounds laid out, adopted and established by law. The
village may, from time to time, include the location of railroad rights-of-way,
waterways and public transit facilities on its Official Map. The Official
Map is to be deemed final and conclusive with respect to the location
and width of streets, highways and parkways and the location and extent
of parks shown thereon.
The Official Map is declared to be established
to conserve and promote the public health, safety, convenience and
general welfare. The original of the Official Map shall be kept on
file in the office of the Village Clerk, and a certificate of said
map's enactment shall be filed by the Village Clerk with the Register
of Deeds.
The Village Board may, from time to time, amend
the Official Map in the manner set forth in § 62.23, Wis.
