No person over the age of 18 years who has been convicted of a violation of any crime against a minor as listed in N.J.S.A. 2C:7-1 et seq., and who, as a result of said conviction, is required to register with the proper authorities pursuant to N.J.S.A. 2C:7-1 et seq, Registration and Notification of Release of Certain Offenders, shall be permitted to reside or live within 500 feet of any school, park, playground, day-care center or beachfront and/or boardwalk within the Borough of Spring Lake.
A person who resides or lives within 500 feet of any school, park, playground, day-care center or the beachfront and/or boardwalk within the Borough of Spring Lake shall have 60 days from receipt of written notice of the prohibition set forth herein to move. Failure to move to a location which is in compliance with this chapter within that time period shall constitute a violation of this chapter.
This chapter shall not apply to persons who have established a residence prior to October 1, 2005.
Any violation of this chapter shall be punishable in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 1, Article II, General Penalty, of the Code of the Borough of Spring Lake.
