Pursuant to the provisions of N.J.S.A. 40A:9-146, there be and is hereby created the position of Deputy Tax Assessor of the Township of West Amwell, Hunterdon County, New Jersey.
The term of said Deputy Tax Assessor shall be for four years from the first day of July next following his or her appointment.

The salary and compensation of the Deputy Tax Assessor shall be fixed and determined by the governing body on January 1 of each year.
The Deputy Tax Assessor shall perform the duties of the Tax Assessor as directed by the Tax Assessor and shall perform the duties of the Tax Assessor in his/her absence.
