[Adopted 1-12-1971 (Ch. 13, Art. III, Div. 3, of the 1985 Code of Ordinances)]
The Highway Commissioner is hereby empowered to declare a temporary parking ban for such periods of time as he deems advisable for the purposes of expediting the removal of snow from the public highways of the Town and to facilitate the flow of traffic over said highways.
The Highway Commissioner shall take all reasonable steps to post and convey the parking ban to the residents of the Town by notifying the Police Departments and/or local radio and television stations of said ban.
During said ban, it shall be unlawful for any owner or operator of any vehicle to park such vehicle on the public highways of the Town.
Any police officer may remove or cause to be removed any vehicle left on the public highways of the Town in violation of § 340-13 to some designated place where it shall be surrendered to its owner upon payment of any authorized charges. If any such vehicle is unregistered it may be disposed of in any manner deemed reasonable by the Police Department.
