The Chief of Police or other police officer in charge of the Village Police Department shall accept and keep custody of found property and found instruments.
Such custodian shall maintain full records of receipt of each found item, notices given and disposition of the item as required by Article 7-B of the Personal Property Law.
On or about June 1 of each year, such custodian shall cause a notice to be published once in the official village newspaper that all found property, except perishable property, having more than salvage value and having been kept in custody for the time provided in said Article 7-B of the Personal Property Law and all required notices given will be sold at public auction to be held no less than 10 nor more than 15 days after the notice is published.
The proceeds from the sale of property covered under Article 7-B of the Personal Property Law shall be paid into the village treasury, and all lawful expenses incurred under the provisions of said Article 7-B of the Personal Property Law and of this Article shall be a village charge.

It shall be unlawful for any person to trim, cut, destroy, break, mutilate or injure any fence, tree, shrubbery or plants upon any of the streets, parks and public places in the Village without first obtaining the consent of the Director of Public Works or the Board of Trustees.
Any person, firm or corporation who or which violates any provision of this Article shall, upon conviction, be punishable as provided in Chapter 1, General Provisions, Article II, General Penalty.
