[HISTORY: Adopted by the Board of Trustees of the Village of Fishkill as indicated in article histories. Amendments noted where applicable.
[Adopted 4-30-1984 by L.L. No. 19-1984]
Upon the adoption by the Board of Trustees of a local law relating to zoning, the Village Clerk shall thereafter publish once in the official newspaper the text of said local law or an abstract thereof describing the same in general terms.
The foregoing provision is intended to supersede § 7-706, Subdivision 2, of the New York Village Law, so as to allow the Village Clerk to publish an abstract of a zoning local law (rather than the entire text thereof).
[Adopted 2-14-2008 by L.L. No. 3-2008]
The Village Board of Trustees does hereby enact this article pursuant to § 20, Subdivision 5, of the Municipal Home Rule Law to shorten the public hearing notice requirements for enacting local laws in the Village of Fishkill from five days to three days' notice. Hereafter, no local law shall be passed by the Village Board of Trustees until a public hearing thereon has been had before the Board of Trustees on at least three days public notice.
