All persons engaged in the hawking, vending, drumming or peddling of
goods, wares or merchandise upon the streets, sidewalks or public places of
the village, or persons engaged in the solicitation of orders for the sale
of goods, wares or merchandise on the streets, sidewalks or public places
of the village, shall do so in accordance with the following provisions:
A. All persons engaged in such activity shall do so between
the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and between
the hours of 12:00 noon and 6:00 p.m. on Sunday.
B. No person engaged in such activity shall do so without
first having obtained a license from the Village Clerk at the Village Hall
upon payment of a license fee of $25.

C. All applications for a license as required herein shall
be made to the Village Clerk at the Village Hall and upon the application
forms provided by the Clerk for such purpose.
D. Each application for a license as required herein shall
include the name and address of the person seeking the license; the name and
address of the firm such person represents; a general description of the goods,
wares or merchandise to be offered for sale or for which orders are solicited;
the date or dates when the sales or solicitations are to be made and the hours
of each day that such person shall be engaged in such activities, all in accordance
with this chapter. If the person is using an automobile in connection with
his activities, then the application must include the name, make, year and
registration number of the automobile.

No person shall sell goods, wares or merchandise at auction within the said village, except auction sales held pursuant to court order or other official authority, without first obtaining a license therefor and paying a fee of $25 per year. The application procedure set forth in §
111-1 shall apply to auction licenses.

All licenses shall be reviewed by the Mayor and Board of Trustees and
shall be issued by the Clerk after approval by the Mayor and Board and upon
payment of the proper fee therefor.

This chapter does not apply to the holder of a license granted pursuant
to § 32 of the General Business Law, nor to local houses of worship.

Any violation of this chapter shall be punishable by a fine of not less
than nor more than $250 or by imprisonment for a term not exceeding 15 days,
or both.
