A. 
Every person convicted of a traffic infraction for a violation of any provision of this chapter which is not a violation of any provision of the Vehicle and Traffic Law of the State of New York shall, for a first conviction thereof, be punished by a fine as specified in Subsection B hereof or by imprisonment for not more than 15 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. For a parking or traffic offense for which there is no scheduled fine listed in Subsection B hereof, the fine shall be $50. For a second such conviction of the same offense within 18 months thereafter, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than double the original fine or by imprisonment for not more than 45 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Upon a third or subsequent conviction of the same offense within 18 months after the first conviction, such person shall be punished by a fine of not more than triple the original fine or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment.
B. 
The intent of this subsection is to establish a schedule of fines for violation of Village parking regulations.
(1) 
The following schedule sets forth the type of parking violation and the scheduled fine for violation thereof.

(2) 
In the event that the foregoing parking offense fine(s) is not paid within 30 days from the date of conviction of the offense, there shall be a surcharge of $50 added onto the fine. In the event the foregoing parking offense fine(s) is not paid within 60 days from the date of conviction, there shall be a surcharge of $100 added onto the fine.
