[Adopted 6-1-1965 by L.L. No. 2-1965; approved by electors 7-31-1965]
The terms of office of the Town Clerk and Town Superintendent of Highways shall henceforth be four years.
This article shall take effect with the terms of office commencing January 1, 1966, subject to a mandatory referendum.
Pursuant to § 23 of the Municipal Home Rule Law, this law shall be submitted for approval of the electors at a special election to be held on July 31, 1965, from 12:00 noon to 8:00 p.m.
The said referendum shall be conducted in the manner prescribed by the Town Law and Election Law.
The proposition shall be submitted by referendum and separately stated as follows:

Should the term of office of Town Clerk be four years?

2.
Should the term of office of Town Superintendent of Highways be four years?
[   ] Yes
[   ] No
