The City of Lebanon Fire Department is hereby authorized, consistent
with RSA 154:24-30 and any amendments thereto, to go to the aid of another
city, town, village or fire district within or without the state, for the
purpose of extinguishing a fire, rendering other emergency assistance, or
performing any detail requested in accordance with RSA Chapter 154, including
cooperating with any association of emergency service organizations, including
the State of New Hampshire, formed to fulfill this mutual aid authorization.
While in the performance of their duties in extending such aid, firefighters
from the City of Lebanon shall be subject to the control and direction of
the chief fire official of the municipality within which the fire or other
emergency occurs, and they shall have the same immunities and privileges as
if performing the same duties within the City of Lebanon, consistent with
RSA 154:25. Firefighters from other cities, towns, villages or fire districts
within or without the state coming to the aid of the City of Lebanon shall
be similarly subject to the control and direction of the chief fire official
of the City while performing their duties.
