In accordance with RSA Chapter 47:17 and any
other applicable chapter or amendments thereto, no person shall put
or place or cause to be put or placed any snow or ice upon the surface
of the traveled portion of any city-maintained highway or sidewalk.
The provisions of this article shall not apply
where snow or ice is pushed across the traveled surface of said highways
and sidewalks for the purpose of snow removal from land adjoining
said highways, provided that no part of the traveled portion of the
highways and sidewalks is reduced in width or travel impeded in any
manner.
After an abnormal snowfall, the City Council
may vote to suspend this article for a definite time. The City Manager
is hereby delegated the temporary authority to suspend this article
for a period not to exceed three weeks or until the next City Council
meeting, whichever occurs first.
Violation of any provision of this article shall be punishable as provided in Chapter
1, General Provisions.
