This Board in all respects approves the establishment of said fire district within the Town of Chautauqua, Chautauqua County, New York, to be known as the "Hartfield Fire District," said district to be contained in and embrace the following boundaries:
Beginning at a point on the Easterly shore of Chautauqua Lake at the Southerly line of property formerly owned by Archibald McKeever and Edna M. McKeever, both deceased, being in Lot Number Twenty of the Holland Land Company's Survey of said Town, and running thence East along the South line of said McKeever's property to the West line of Lot Number Nineteen; thence North along the West line of Lot Number Nineteen to the Northwesterly corner thereof; then East along the North Lot Lines of Lots Numbers Nineteen Sixteen and Thirteen to the West bounds of farm formerly owned by John Miles in Lot Number Nine of said Survey; and thence North along the West line of the said John Miles farm to the Northwesterly corner thereof; thence East along the North line of the said John Miles farm and Lot Number Nine to the East bounds of the Town of Chautauqua; thence North along the Township line between the Towns of Stockton and Chautauqua Townships to the intersection of the Town of Portland; thence Southwesterly along the Township line between the Towns of Chautauqua and Portland to the Westerly line of Lot Number Thirty-eight; thence Southerly along the Westerly line of Lot Number Thirty-eight to the South line thereof; thence Easterly along the Southerly line of Lot Number Thirty-eight to the Northwest corner of Lot Number Forty-five; thence South along the Easterly line of Lots Numbers Forty-five, Forty-four, Forty-three and Forty-Two; thence East along the Southerly line of Lot Number Thirty-four to the center of the creek known as the Big Inlet; thence Southerly along the center of the Big Inlet to the Northerly line of lands of Harris J. Steward (formerly known as the Marion Scofield property); thence East along the Northerly line of land of Crescent Smith and formerly of John A. Anderson to the Northeasterly corner of said Anderson's land; thence Southerly along the Easterly bounds of said Anderson's land to the center of the County Highway (old Route 17); thence Northwesterly along the center line of said Highway to the Easterly line of the land of Harry Putnam; thence South along Putnam's East line the Southeast corner of said Putnam's land to the center of the Big Inlet; thence South along the center of said Big Inlet to the shores of Chautauqua Lake to the place of beginning.
The first described bounds running from Chautauqua Lake to the East line of the Town of Chautauqua is intended to follow the Northerly bounds of the present Dewittville Fire District, and the Westerly boundary line of premises herein described, to the Easterly bounds of the Mayville Fire Protection District.
